Cape Verde to become a golfer’s paradise……

To many investors, over the past two years, Cape Verde has been the area to invest in the international property market for rental return and capital appreciation. Now, with more than 9 golf courses being planned throughout the main islands of Sal, Sao Vicente, Santiago and Boavista, golfers are now investing in the property market as they will have a superb choice of courses on which to play.

Sal currently has 3 courses that have either been approved by the Government or are about to be, Boavista has 2 approved courses, Santiago also has 2 approved courses and Sao Vicente will have at least 2 courses and planning has been passed for both.

To ensure that the courses provide the quality and challenges that the modern day golfer demands, the developers have teamed up with some of the leading designers; Ernie Els who is designing four of the courses, two on Sao Vicente and two on Sal and Nick Faldo who is involved in Santiago. These are part of a £ 1.75 billion project to establish these islands as a new world golf destination.
